Big Love: A Nigerian romance!
Big love is a 2023 Nigerian romance drama.
Plot: It tells a story about Adil (Timini Egbuson). He is from a rich home and wants to focus on his passion for banking.
He starts it in a graduate trainee camp for bankers where he meets his college crush Adina (Bimbo Ademoye) and falls in love with her.
However, Adina is scared of accepting Adil’s overwhelming love due to past experiences and a certain secret. The movie is directed and written by Abiodun Stephen, currently streaming on Prime Video.
First of all, I would say that this whole Nollywood romance was taken to a whole new level in this movie. Kudos to the producers, directors and the cast! They brought in their A game. Also, I wouldn’t fail to mention the cinematography, picture, and sound was great.
Although the plot is quite a simple story, it is more relatable and realistic, giving a sense of reality in the fiction. Furthermore, the characters were quite developed.
Except for the part where the paternity of the child remained unknown till the end of the movie. I kept wondering at the end if the child was truly Lades’ (Adil’s cousin) because there certainly should be a biological father.
Anyways, despite the little confusion, the film is an interesting relatable romance story that could keep you glued to the screens until it’s finished.
So, if you are in for romance, single motherhood, drama, rich kid love, overwhelming love, you are not far from it… ‘Big love is the deal’!
Its ranked 7.6/10 on IMDb and 8/10 on Nollywire
